Samantha and Ethan are just the sweetest! They are full of so much energy and they put much of that energy towards living their best life with each other! They have been together for over five years and both studied at Illinois State University! I originally met Sam when I photographed her friend, Stefani’s wedding day as a bridesmaid. So when she reached out to me about her own engagement I was very excited to sit down and chat about her wedding vision! Ethan and Sam compliment each other in every way and it was wonderful to see them interact together during their e-session. When they said they wanted to have their photos at The Chapel in the Trees area in Funks Grove, IL, which is right outside Bloomington I was really excited. Honestly, I had never been to this location before yet, after a quick Google search…I was totally pumped! The location was so intimate and quiet it was fun simply to be able to focus on Sam and Ethan and get to know them better instead of dodging other families or couple’s having their photos taken at a busy park! We wandered throughout the woods as Sam looked beautiful in her long maroon dress and Ethan, well had a hard time taking his eyes off his soon to be bride! They are constantly giggling with one another and so we did a LOT of laughing over our time together! Sam and Ethan did a quick outfit change halfway through the session and we finished up in Funks Grove with the pair practicing their dancing moves and dips. They are naturals! We made a small adjustment in location as we knew we would have an awesome sunset and we needed to get to an open space. Ethan mentioned a field not too far from their home in Bloomington that sat up on a hill and could provide the perfect spot. Upon arrival, Ethan was totally right! Having the two of them in front of the soybean field at sunset was gorgeous! The temperatures were dropping a bit by then, but it made for even better snuggling weather! We completed their session having just as much fun as we did at the beginning with Sam and Ethan laughing together and having an amazing time! I’m thrilled to continue to work with both Sam and Ethan on their journey towards their wedding day next fall!
