You can’t get much better for an engagement session than an adorable couple, in an incredible location, on a beautiful fall evening! This is the exact combination I had for Bre and Brock’s e-session at Ewing Manor and Cultural Center in Bloomington, Illinois! Bre, who has worked with video being a former tv personality and an aspiring photographer, and Brock, a Bloomington Police Officer for the last couple of years already had me super excited for their photos before I even arrived! Bre had told me about a few ideas she had up her sleeve including a fun yellow bicycle and a quick visit from the police department to pay tribute to Brock’s line of work. Yet, when the two arrived at the Manor, their bright continuous smiles made the entire experience even better! As a couple, they are simply lovely together! We all immediately began to chat and have an incredible time! They told me about how Brock was able to surprise Bre with his proposal even though she tends to be on the sneaky side and not let many surprises past her. He asked her dad for approval to make Bre his wife without any suspicion from Bre. And after an anniversary weekend away in Galesburg, Illinois to celebrate two years together, Brock added to the surprise. He waited until their drive home and stopped at the Peoria Lookout where he finally popped the question! Needless to say, Brock pulled off the joyful surprise! How sweet!
As we made our way around the awesome Ewing Manor I was able to capture many wonderful moments Bre and Brock shared together. In the courtyard of the manor surrounded by the cobblestone walkway and the archways of the building, the couple took every opportunity to snuggle up and show off their love! We took a quick break as Brock’s fellow officer arrived to give us the opportunity to use his police vehicle. We had the chance to photograph the pair in their support for the tough work Brock does as a police officer as well as play with the lights for added fun! Once we finished those up, we headed back over to the manor for an outfit change and bring out the vintage style cruiser bike! This was such a delightful idea from Bre and with a bouquet of fall flowers, Bre and Brock could have been on the cover of a magazine! What a blast it was to capture every giggle and every outtake! And there were a few! I’m sure it was a bit harder to drive the bike for Bre when I was telling her to keep her eyes locked on Brock! She’s very talented nevertheless and accomplished the task! We finished up with a few silhouettes before we said our goodbyes for now! I couldn’t be more thrilled that I will get to capture their special memories on the wedding day too! Thanks again Bre and Brock!
Warm Regards,
Lauren
