This may be a first for me thinking back on all the weddings I have photographed. But, I think Lynette and Shane’s brunch garden wedding at The Inn at 835 in Springfield, Illinois was the first morning wedding I have been a part of! Yet, it was an incredible one! With the ceremony starting early I was at the Inn by 8:30am to meet the beautiful bride, Lynette as she was finishing hair and makeup. She had many lovely details throughout their big day including a ribbon from her mother, who has passed away, woven through her bouquet. She used colorful jewels from her sister’s wedding attire in her birdcage veil. Plus she wore a shimmering broach her new mother-in-law gave her as her something borrowed. Her niece, Samantha was her maid of honor and wore (one of my favorite new fall colors) emerald green. And another fun aspect of Lynette and Shane’s wedding day was that the ladies invited to their ceremony were encouraged to wear fascinators or fancy hats to finish off their attire. For those of you that aren’t sure what a fascinator is it’s a type of hat or headpiece that many women wear to weddings in England. Lynette said since their wedding was in the morning, which is fairly customary in English weddings, she wanted to play off that fun spirit and incorporate it into their wedding experience! So fun!
The time came for Lynette and Shane to see one another for the first time in the garden of the Inn as she made her way down the aisle and it was a wonderful moment. Shane and his best man, Jim looked amazing in their navy suits with emerald green ties and pocket squares. Very handsome! After being escorted down the aisle by her brother, Ken, Lynette and Shane couldn’t take their eyes off of one another! They have a special relationship anyone can see filled with plenty of love, lots of laughter, and ultimate respect. Once they completed their vows, exchanged rings, and shared a quick first kiss they were back up the aisle and excited to share the rest of the morning with their guests over brunch. I did have the chance to steal them as well as their small bridal party for a few photos highlighting the couple in front of the historic Inn before they joined their guests to celebrate and Thank them for coming. Lynette and Shane were welcoming and gracious and I’m very grateful I was asked to be a part of their delightful wedding day. I wish Lynette and Shane many years of happiness!
Warm Regards,
Lauren
