Holiday weekends can present themselves as the perfect time to have extended family photos taken! Think about it…The family is gathering around to spent time together and it’s a long weekend so everyone doesn’t feel rushed! The Edwards Family totally took advantage of the Labor Day weekend and decided to finish off the unofficial end of summer with a big family photo session! I was first contacted by Beri, who’s was the organizer and daughter-in-law to Janis and Wayne, whose lives in Kansas City, MO with her husband Rob and their kiddos Callen and Finley. They were being joined by Rob’s brother Jay, his wife Katrina, with their boys Mason and Merrick, who were coming in from the St. Louis area. Since mom and dad Edwards are members out at The Springfield Motorboat Club on the lake we decided to meet out there and wander about on the Friday kicking off Labor Day weekend! There happened to be a big event happening at the club that day so we made our way over to a pretty little bridge and lovely field that were ideal for photos! The family was celebrating a big birthday for Janis so that was an added bonus for their gathering! They were a lively group that soaks up all the fun they can when they are around one another. The cousins all enjoyed their time running around and playing games as kids do! I think despite the heat and humidity of the evening it was a successful time capturing many memories they can look back on fondly! Thanks again, Edwards Family, for the lovely evening by the lake!
