I am a wedding and portrait photographer who keeps things light, fun, and full of energy. I’m based out of Springfield, Illinois however I love traveling all over the midwest and beyond.
inquire about your session!
Having casual acquaintances reaching out to me and deciding to book their family session is always fun! I know this will allow me to get to know them on a deeper level! It makes me feel even better knowing we were both helping a good cause to bring their session to fruition! I met Emily a few times before through mutual friends and I instantly liked her wittiness and tough as nails personality! At the time I didn’t realize that her two kiddos attended New Berlin Elementry, where my daughter goes to school too. In the spring of this year, I was compelled to donate a family session to a local charity in the name of Maddie Finch, who was a New Berlin student tragically killed in a car accident about a year previous. I didn’t know Maddie, but the fact that she was so young and part of my community I wanted to help raise any money I could for her scholarship fund. I found out later when Emily reached out to me that she was the winner of my session! I was so excited to get to spend more time with her and her beautiful family!
We decided to photograph Emily’s family at Centennial Park in Springfield, Illinois. I love this location and the amazing sunsets that seem to come about in this spot! I met Emily’s husband, Andrew, and their two children Torin and Garrison. And they were all ready to go even with the 90-degree temps we were experiencing in mid-September! It was kind of crazy! They are an adorable family and watching them together was really wonderful! Emily and Andrew are both police officers and one addition to the session they brought was a wooden American flag with a blue line, which is representative of law enforcement. The wooden flag also included each of their badge numbers. It was a wonderful nod to their line of work and admiration for fallen officers. I was so happy to capture these for the couple and Thank them for their service to our community! We wandered around the park photographing this sweet family as they enjoyed one another’s company. I had an amazing time with the Brashear Family! Thanks again!
Warm Regards,
Lauren
