I have known Reid for some time as I worked with his dad, Rich, at my last corporate job. I’ve had several family sessions previously with Reid as well as playing a bit of sand volleyball with him over this last summer. Now he is in the Senior Class of 2019 at Auburn High School and ready to step into the spotlight for his senior photos! Reid towers over me just like his dad, which makes it fun to hang around him! He is quiet and reserved when you first meet him, yet when he opens up he is quick-witted and a bit sarcastic (which is why I think we get along)! Along with taking his final year of classes at Auburn, he is also taking culinary classes at a local career center. I find this very intriguing since his dad is also very gifted in the culinary arts! Love that Reid is showing an interest in the same thing as his father!

We started his session downtown at the old Union Station in Springfield, Illinois on a warm summer evening. Luckily for us, it wasn’t too terribly humid and there was a nice breeze to keep us all cool! Reid is just like most of the senior guys I work with…Not incredibly excited to have his photos taken, but willing to participate because he understands it means something to his family! My secret weapon though since I personally know Reid is bantering with him to get out his bigger smiles! He has them in there…You just have to work them out! It also helped that his girlfriend, Olivia, accompanied Ried and his dad to the session. Since they are very cute together we threw Miss Olivia into a few photos as well! They are pretty adorable! The last location we went to was the cool wooden pergola in Washington Park. I thought this was a fitting spot for Reid to finish up our time together. I looking forward to where Reid’s journey takes him and wish him the best in his senior year!
