I’ve had the pleasure of photographing the wonderful Kuhl Family for about a year now. Usually, I see a family once a year for their annual family photos. But, the Kuhl Family was different. At the time I first photographed them for a fall mini session (HERE), they were a family of three with Kimberly, her husband Roger, and their sweet, shy little guy Emmett. Yet, Kimberly was pregnant with their second child and they all couldn’t have been more excited to add to their cute crew! I then had the honor of capturing the first photos of their new daughter, Aurora, which you can find HERE! She was incredible and such a sleepy princess (which was fitting considering her name!)

Fast forward to the summer at Lincoln Memorial Gardens in Springfield, Illinois where I met the Kuhl Family, now party of 4! Emmett was still a bit shy, as he was the first time we met, however, once we started to play games together he opened right up. Aurora had the same cautiousness to me at first but singing some songs and dancing around seemed to cure that pretty quickly. I had a blast on the very hot summer day capturing mom and dad with their two little dolls! I can’t wait until our next moments together!
