Megan and J.c. rolled Lucky 7’s on their wedding day at The Wedding Garden in Carbondale, Illinois last weekend! They tied the knot on 7/7 at 7 pm surrounded by family and friends in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony. When I first saw Megan the morning of the wedding day, she could barely contain her excitement for the events that were to take place! She was ready to experience every part of the special day she and J.c. had planned. I remember meeting this lovely couple last year as they played a different role in the bridal party. I was fortunate to be Megan’s brother, Matt and his lovely bride, Aryn’s wedding photographer back in June 2017! Megan and J.c. served as a bridesmaid and groomsman and I got to know and laugh with them over the course of that incredible day. If you know J.c. you know there is always a ton of laughter going on around him! He loves to see the beautiful smile on his new bride’s face anytime possible!
We spent the majority of the day at the awesome and unique venue, The Wedding Garden, in the center of Carbondale. Both the ladies and gentlemen prepared for the big day at the venue, which made life easier for me to capture both of their getting ready moments. As Megan got dressed, each accessory she added to her look, such as teardrop earrings or gem-covered shoes, she became more and more stunning! Her best accessories, however, were her four delightful bridesmaids in matching coral dresses carrying white bouquets. And J.c. cleans up pretty well himself! The guys were dressed in navy suits with coral vests and ties. Very dapper dudes indeed! Once everyone was dressed to the nines, Megan and her father, Andy, as well as J.c., took turns sharing a first look with the dazzling, Megan. After those sweet moments and before the ceremony, we headed to the campus at Southern Illinois University for fun with the bridal party. We discovered a charming courtyard which was perfect for this edgy and lively couple. There was much laughter, yet many intimate moments with the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. McClelland. They are simply splendid together!
The evening ceremony was framed under a charming pergola with sprays from a fountain behind the couple. The nuptials were short and sweet, yet it was full of love and read psalms to tie into their new marriage. They shared a kiss and the rest is history! I was lucky enough to steal the pair after saying their vows for a few more photos at sunset! And of course, we had to include some with J.c.’s beloved truck! Yet, his favorite treasure was wrapped up in his arms! Cheers to Megan and J.c. on a delightful day and blessings for a long and wonderful marriage!
