Evelyn is ONE! This little girl brightens every room she enters! She has a toothy grin, which causes you to light up! I began photographing Evelyn before she was even born during her sweet parents, Alissa and Joe’s, maternity session you can see HERE in Petersburg, Illinois at their home. I was then lucky enough to capture her milestones on her Newborn, 4 Month, 8 Month, and now first birthday here in Springfield, Illinois. Evelyn has grown up right in front of my eyes and it’s been so fun to watch! Her upcoming birthday celebration has a watermelon theme and Alissa knocked it out of the park with fun and colorful decor. And of course, Evelyn was happy to accommodate any outfit change and or additional prop we decided to use. She’s simply a delight! We then headed out to Washington Park in order to capture a few family photos and finish up with Evelyn’s opportunity to smash her cake. Well…We moved very fast at this point! Why? There were storm clouds rolling in and we had to get a step on it if we wanted to beat the rain! Miss Evelyn had her watermelons and her cake so she was ready to go! She wasn’t totally sure about what to do with the cake right away yet, once she figured it out she made sure to get a few bites in, plus add the red frosting all throughout her hair! We finished up the session right as the raindrops began pouring from the sky! Perfect Timing! Thanks so much Alissa and Joe for entrusting me to capture your baby’s first year!
