I am a wedding and portrait photographer who keeps things light, fun, and full of energy. I’m based out of Springfield, Illinois however I love traveling all over the midwest and beyond.
inquire about your session!
Ali and Anthony are most certainly in love! But not just love. They have a blast together! Ali is full of life and a little spitfire! Anthony is the more calm and quiet type. Yet, you get them hand in hand and they are simply a wonderful couple! All Anthony has to do is shoot Ali a look and she’s giggling! Absolutely adorable! We began their engagement session at Lincoln Memorial Gardens in Springfield, Illinois. The couple enjoys the outdoors and nature and were looking to convey that through their photos. We wandered from spot to spot around the Gardens on a lovely overcast evening. As you can see, Ali and Anthony have a bit of a height difference, which I think makes them even more charming with one another. They have to work really hard to snuggle up and smooch, yet they had no problem sharing a kiss when I asked.
Once we finished up at the Gardens, we headed over to a new location I had never been to before. Ali and Anthony took me to Tom Madonia park where they discovered a long wooden bridge that connects the East and West sides of the park. As we walked down to the bridge the sun was shining, however, there was a dark cloud following behind us that came out of nowhere. We hustled down by the water for a few shots on the bridge and then the sky opened up on us! After running back to our cars Ali and I both pulled up the radar, which showed absolutely nothing about rain. Gotta love Mother Nature! Luckily for us, the storm cloud passed by quickly and a gorgeous sunset came out and provided a show! Ali and Anthony made the most of it with a few spins and silhouettes with the incredible golden light and we called it a night! We even threw in a few with an umbrella to remember our random raincloud experience! I am very much looking forward to their winter wedding next year!
Warm Regards,
Lauren
