ummer is in full swing and I can’t think of a better way to start one of my favorite seasons than with an incredible couple such as Maureen and Aaron! The laughter, the calm during the flurry of activity, the emotions, and the full on dance party all brought together two lives and two families last weekend! Their big day included so many wonderful and personal locations near and dear to their hearts. Spots with much character and meaning to their relationship, which made the day more special. Maureen and her bridesmaids choose to get ready in the morning at her parent’s lakeside home in Springfield. Followed by the ceremony, which took place at Aaron’s lovely family farm in Divernon, Illinois. A fantastic farmhouse, sprawling lawn, mature trees, and a charming pond! So gorgeous! Then the party moved to the Island Bay Yacht Club in Springfield, Illinois right on the lake! The day encompassed a great deal of love, family, and the great outdoors! Everything that makes for a spectacular wedding!
When I first laid eyes on Maureen in her dress all I could think of was she looked like a Goddess! You know the kind from stories with gorgeous flowing dresses with touches of gold. She was stunning! Her dress was unique in every way from the open back, lace bodice, and softly draped bottom. Magical! Aaron and his guys cleaned up pretty well too! They donned tan suits with matching ties. The monochromatic look was perfect for a farm wedding. Maureen and Aaron were both style ready to tie the knot! The ceremony overlooking the pond was lovely. Surrounded by family and friends the pair exchanged rings, pledged their vows written from the heart, and sealed the deal with a sweet kiss! True beauty at it’s best! Afterwards, we meandered around the farm for a bit with the lively bridal party and the new Mr. and Mrs. Jones before heading out to the Yacht Club.
I was overly excited to be photographing at the Island Bay Yacht Club, as this was my first wedding at this marvelous location! The reception was held on the back patio of the venue overlooking Lake Springfield. The outdoor theme continued with rustic details like tree trunk centerpieces topped with delightful pink floral centerpieces and candles. Then during toasts Maureen’s dad, Steven played an amazing song on the guitar and sang lyrics he wrote about newlyweds. It was very touching to learn he only began to play a few months ago for this very purpose to serenade his daughter and her new husband. Once all the memorable traditions took place the couple and their guests danced the night away to the phenomenal band, The Shenanigans as they kept the hits coming!
Maureen and Aaron simply compliment one another in every way. Working with them was so easy and fun and I wish them nothing but continued blessings and amazing memories in their new married lives to come! Cheers!
Warm Regards,
Lauren
