Working with the Bolinger Family over the last couple of years have been wonderful! They are all so lovely and my little buddy, Lilly, instantly became one of my favorites! Especially when her mom, Rachel told me that she kept asking about me after our last session. You could say I was a bit excited to see this spunky, smart red head! And her brother, Henry was getting so big with his own personality as well! We met at the Lincoln Memorial Gardens in Springfield, Illinois for a walk on the trails. Of course we were trying to beat the rain that was on the radar originally showing in the afternoon last weekend. We moved up their session from late afternoon to the morning in hopes we could win the weather battle. Mother Nature had her laugh! Within 15 minutes of shooting, a steady rain began to fall chasing us under a covered pavilion. However, that didn’t dampen our spirits and we just kept going! Lilly and Henry were ready to smile and happy to play under cover. Rachel and dad, Eric even took a moment to themselves for a few photos. Once the rain stopped we headed deeper into the gardens and were able to get some wonderful family photos with all the new spring blooms. I adore this family and I’m so happy I had the chance to see their smiling faces!
