I am a wedding and portrait photographer who keeps things light, fun, and full of energy. I’m based out of Springfield, Illinois however I love traveling all over the midwest and beyond.
inquire about your session!
Witnessing Chelsie and Zayin’s devotion to each another during their engagement session over a year ago was nothing short of spectacular! Now here we are reaching their first year of marriage and their love is stronger than ever! Chelsie emailed me to talk about setting up a photo shoot to celebrate their one year anniversary and I couldn’t have been more excited to see them and hear all about their wedding day in Maui! See, right before photographing their engagement session (HERE) and wedding planned for Memorial Day Weekend in Springfield, Chelsie and Zayin made a tough, but important decision in their journey towards the alter. Their heart was set on getting married in Maui, therefore they decided to change all their plans and do what felt right to them! Although this meant I would no longer be photographing their wedding (which made me so very sad cause I had already fallen in love with them), I knew this was a choice they made hearts full. And I can’t be upset about that.
I invited them out to my neck of the woods in Loami, Illinois for a session at Nipper Wildlife Sanctuary to capture some amazing sunset photos! They KNOW I love sunset! There is something about this location that is just dreamy and I was thrilled when Chelsie and Zayin picked it! In between photos, the two gushed about their new jobs working at the same church, their recent graduations (Chelsie with her Masters and Zayin with his Bachelors), and of course how quickly their first anniversary arrived! They are so very easy to talk to and even more elated to speak about one another’s accomplishments. Both of them light up when look into each other’s eyes and the feeling of complete and utter admiration for their spouse is incredible! They asked me how my business was going and when telling them about my busy calendar as well as being able to stay home with Harper, Zayin’s response was, “What a blessing!” And he is totally right! Especially when part of my life is spending time with a remarkable couple, such as themselves. I definitely call that a blessing! Happy Anniversary, Chelsie and Zayin! Prayers for continued blessings in your marriage!
Warm Regards,
Lauren
