I am a wedding and portrait photographer who keeps things light, fun, and full of energy. I’m based out of Springfield, Illinois however I love traveling all over the midwest and beyond.
inquire about your session!
I recently traveled out to Carlinville, Illinois to meet up with a beautiful young lady, Hannah, for her senior photos! She is part of the Class of 2018 at Northwestern High School in Palmyra, Illinois. We decided to start our time together in a spot that she has put a lot of her heart and soul into…The dance studio! She told me she had always wanted to learn how to master the toe point form of dance. Lucky for her, Hannah’s cousin owns a small studio in Carlinville where she spends hours practicing and taking classes throughout the week! Hannah is involved in so many wonderful extra curricular activties, such as different forms of dance and as well as band, which keeps her busy. I was completely blown away by her gracefulness, poise, and determination to make sure each dance move was perfect! How she dances on those toes is beyond me and I give her credit for that amazing talent!
Another crazy talent this girl has is the ability to scale tall objects like a monkey! No joke! After we spent some time at the studio, we headed to another place very close to Hannah’s heart. Her grandfather’s farm. She wanted a few photos at the top of some stacked hay bales and within seconds she had already climbed up to the top before I could blink! She did the same with her grandfather’s blue tractor. She is a climbing machine! Hannah had spent many great times with her grandfather all over his farm and in that tractor before he recently passed away. She even wore one of his plaid shirts during the session in honor of his memory. So, these photos and moments were very important to her and her family. We hopped around all over the farm from the silos, to the soybean field, and even the back country road. I loved capturing her right at sunset when the sun was starting to dip below the tree line. Hannah is a wonderful person, who I can tell knows what she likes and goes for it! Thank You so much for inviting me into the meaningful places in your life, Hannah! Good Luck with your senior year!
Warm Regards,
Lauren
