My “Job” allows me to witness so much love throughout my days. I put “Job” in quotes because I enjoy what I get to do every day and it doesn’t seem like work. Yet, I have the privilege of documenting engaged couples together and simply be a witness to their relationship. This was definitely the case for Vikash and Leslie’s engagement session in downtown Springfield, Illinois on a hot summer evening. We began our time together on the steps of the Illinois State Capitol building. Both Leslie and Vikash said they were not very photogenic. Oh my goodness! They were so wrong! The two of them are absolutely adorable with each other and made for a very lovely evening of photos. All Vikash has to do is give Leslie and little look and she melts and starts giggling! So cute! We made our way around the capitol area then headed over to a local church where the archways are divine. I couldn’t think of a better spot to show off this sweet, playful couple. 

To finish of their e-session we went to Centennial Park on the west side of Springfield where the sunsets are simply amazing! After a quick outfit change, I picked a couple of spots where the lighting was alluring and perfect to highlight Leslie and Vikash. They are both so pleasant and were up for whatever my crazy creative mind wanted to do! This included laying them in the grass together while bunnies looked on from a distance. I think those shots with Leslie snuggled up on Vikash’s shoulder are some of my favorites! And of course we had to get in some sunset and silhouette shots. We worked on their dipping technique as the sun dropped below the horizon. I couldn’t be more excited for their upcoming unique and cultural fall wedding!
