inquire about your session!
Happy Tuesday Everyone! As I’m sitting outside writing this post on a BEAUTIFUL sunny day (a perk to my awesome job as a work from home mama), I can’t help but reminisce about the perfect weather we had for Kayla & Ryan’s outdoor engagement session last week! Visiting a family farm never disappoints for me! And it was no different when I was allowed to photograph their special moments at her grandparent’s farm in Raymond, Illinois. We technically started their session at the local baseball field to show some love for their favorite baseball team, the St. Louis Cardinals! Ryan wanted one thing for our time together and this was it. We didn’t get to play as much on the field as we would have liked simply because there was a little league team having practice. However, since Ryan is an umpire and they both love the game, the ball diamond was a must! We totally made it work and avoided getting hit with a ball too! That would have been a story!
Then we headed over to the farm to continue with the photos. The sun peaked out from behind the trees just right when we arrived. This coupled with rustic fences and cows mooing in the distance I would say it was the perfect backdrop for Kayla and Ryan to squeeze in tight with one another. Kayla even mentioned her mom and dad had photos taken under one tree in particular on the property. So of course we had to do the same. Once we moved closer to the old hog barn and grain bins, Ryan was able to do the second thing he requested for the session (Oh I forgot, he had two requests). Drinking a beer! Sharing a beer together brings us to the beginning of Kayla and Ryan’s love story. They met one another in a bar! Love it! They decided they wanted to remember this part of their relationship by partaking in the exact beverages they had the night they met. Cheers! Kayla and Ryan are full of life, energy, and so much kindness. I’m so excited for their November 2017 wedding!
Warm Regards,
Lauren
